Jean Marie Vianney NZAYISENGA Bio
The Nyungwe Conservation Leadership Center as a part of Biodiversity Conservation Organization, will represent a pioneering approach to integrating biodiversity conservation with sustainable community development and climate change initiatives. Situated in the heart of Rwanda’s Southern Province, this center will aim to empower local communities, foster entrepreneurial leadership, and promote effective natural resource management. Here’s an outline of what the center will include, structured with a focus on future activities and developments:
My professional path has been diverse and enriching, shaped by invaluable experiences across various organizations. I served as a Logistics Manager at USADF/KOBACYAMU for three years, followed by a role as a Logistic Officer at CHICO HEINAN for one year. Subsequently, I contributed my skills as a Finance Officer at Teach A Man To Fish for three years and as a Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Officer at IPRC Kitabi for another three years. Currently, I am honored to serve as the Acting Finance and Administration Manager at BIOCOOR, an organization deeply committed to biodiversity conservation and sustainable development in the Nyungwe National Park vicinity.
In addition to my professional endeavors, I have been actively engaged as a Business Development Adviser (BDA) in Kitabi Sector since 2015, where I have had the privilege of contributing to local economic growth and community empowerment initiatives. Furthermore, I am pursuing my Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, currently at the Intermediate Level.
My journey thus far has instilled in me a profound appreciation for the delicate balance between conservation efforts and socio-economic development. I am dedicated to leveraging my skills and experiences to further BIOCOOR’s mission of fostering sustainable practices, environmental stewardship, and community well-being in our cherished Nyungwe National Park region.
