Jacqueline Nishimwe Bio

I, Mrs. Jacqueline Nishimwe, was born on December 20, 1996. Since my youth, I’ve harbored a deep interest in biodiversity and environmental matters, driven by a desire to become a catalyst for positive change within my workplace and the broader community. Following the completion of my secondary studies in 2016, I embarked on a five-year journey at Biocoop, where I delved into various aspects of environmental conservation.

In 2020, I transitioned to BIOCOOR (Biodiversity Conservation Organization), assuming the role of Logistics Officer. Despite my current responsibilities, my aspirations to effect meaningful change persist. I am determined to realize my dream of becoming an agent of change within my workplace and the community that surrounds it. This ambition is fueled by my ongoing studies at the PIASS Faculty of Education, where I am continually inspired to make a difference in the world around me.

In addition to my professional endeavors, I have been actively engaged as a Business Development Adviser (BDA) in Kitabi Sector since 2015, where I have had the privilege of contributing to local economic growth and community empowerment initiatives. Furthermore, I am pursuing my Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, currently at the Intermediate Level.

My journey thus far has instilled in me a profound appreciation for the delicate balance between conservation efforts and socio-economic development. I am dedicated to leveraging my skills and experiences to further BIOCOOR’s mission of fostering sustainable practices, environmental stewardship, and community well-being in our cherished Nyungwe National Park region.
