Since childhood, I’ve been driven by a passion to effect positive change in my community through the promotion of quality education, sustainable development, and environmental conservation.

In 2023, I was honored to be elected as the Legal Representative of BIOCOOR, a role that highlights my commitment to our organization’s mission. Additionally, I was recognized as one of the top teachers in my field and received an award from the Ministry for my contributions.

educational journey began at Mount Kenya University, where I pursued a Bachelor of Education in Arts, majoring in English and Kiswahili. From 2012 to 2015, I co-founded Umwana Bright Academy, a school providing education at both nursery and primary levels. Over the years, I’ve actively participated in workshops addressing crucial issues such as HIV prevention, behavioral change communication, and gender equality, reaching approximately 6500 youth across my country through programs sponsored by World Vision Rwanda.

As an author, I’ve contributed to the literary landscape by writing various juvenile books, including Kiswahili school books sponsored by the Rwanda Education Board in 2018. Additionally, I’ve engaged in professional development opportunities, including intensive English language training and sessions focused on enhancing teaching methodologies. Through participation in mentorship programs funded by UNICEF, I’ve supported over 300 individuals in their learning and teaching processes, spanning from 2013 to 2016. Furthermore, I served as the head of the conflict management committee in BIOCOOR from 2020 to 2022.In alignment with Rwanda’s Vision 2020, I’ve played a role in promoting a culture of reading and creation within my country, collaborating with organizations like ITOCA, UR, and Syracuse University.

My commitment to community development extends to practical initiatives, such as implementing water, hygiene, and sanitation education projects. Supported by various sponsors, I’ve constructed economic stoves and provided handwashing tools to families, promoting hygiene practices in the Cyanika Sector. In 2023, I broadened my leadership skills by attending workshops on NGO management and fund management. Additionally, I participated in a workshop at the Tanzanian Embassy to learn modern approaches to teaching Kiswahili to foreign learners. Moving forward, I remain dedicated to driving positive change in my community and beyond, leveraging my skills and experiences to contribute to a brighter future for all.
