Pierre NIYIGENA Bio
Hello, I am Pierre NIYIGENA, and I am delighted to share a glimpse of my journey with you. Born on July 19, 1991, I proudly hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the esteemed University of Rwanda. As a devout Christian, my faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior serves as the guiding light in my life and work.
Since 2023, I have had the privilege of contributing my skills and expertise to the noble cause of biodiversity conservation at Biodiversity Conservation Organization (BIOCOOR) as a Finance Officer. Described as honest, flexible, determined, and results-oriented, I strive to embody qualities that significantly enhance my professional contributions. Throughout my career, I have undergone extensive training in critical areas such as child protection and trauma care, human rights and social justice, building an inclusive society, and preventing violent extremism and radicalism. These diverse trainings reflect my broad interests and unwavering commitment to societal welfare and justice. With a profound understanding of the importance of financial stability in our daily lives, I am deeply passionate about showcasing how conserving biodiversity and practicing agroecology can rejuvenate life and make our world a better place. I am committed to lifelong learning, constantly seeking to acquire new knowledge and skills to better serve my community and the environment.
Prior to my tenure at BIOCOOR, I was engaged in a project supported by Compassion International, where I served as a Communication Social Worker (CSW) starting from 2017. These diverse experiences, coupled with my commitment to both environmental conservation and social welfare, underscore my multifaceted approach to making a positive impact in the world.
With gratitude and determination, I look forward to continuing my journey of service, driven by the belief that together, we can create a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
