Valens Bihoyiki Bio
Hello everyone, I am Valens Bihoyiki, a proud Rwandan citizen born on January 1, 1985. My journey has been one of exploration and learning, rooted in a deep passion for understanding the world around us. I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the Protestant Institute of Arts and Social Sciences (PIASS). Throughout my academic endeavors, I’ve delved into the intricate dynamics of both physical and cultural aspects of our world.
In my pursuit of knowledge, I also obtained a diploma in Geography from Rukara College of Education between 2009 and 2010. During this time, my focus was on environmental management, which greatly enriched my understanding of sustainable practices. Transitioning from academia to practical application, I dedicated over a decade to educating as a geography teacher at secondary schools from 2011 to 2023. It was immensely rewarding to see my commitment and excellence in teaching recognized through various certificates, acknowledging my students’ outstanding performance in geography. Beyond the realm of geography, I expanded my horizons by delving into human sciences at an advanced level. This exploration provided me with valuable insights into human behavior and societal complexities, enriching my understanding of societal dynamics.
My diverse educational background and experiences have equipped me with a versatile skill set, enabling me to contribute significantly in fields such as natural resources management, environmental conservation, and social research. Since 2023, I have had the privilege of serving as a Natural Resources Management Officer at BIOCOOR (Biodiversity Conservation Organization). Here, I am able to channel my passion and knowledge to advance conservation efforts and promote sustainable practices, contributing to the greater good of our environment and communities.
